Union Minister SP Singh Baghel critiqued Priyanka Gandhi s choice to carry a  Palestine  bag, claiming it was an effort to garner Muslim votes. He suggested that she could have instead chosen a "Swadeshi" product to promote Indian craftsmanship and unity.
