(Web Desk): Donald Trump called CNN “fake news” after the network reported that U.S. strikes failed to significantly damage Iran’s nuclear sites, insisting instead that the facilities were completely destroyed.

President Donald Trump has critically criticized CNN and The New York Times, calling their reports as “fake news” after both organisations cited intelligence suggesting that recent US airstrikes couldn’t cause significant damage to Iran’s nuclear facilities.

In a fiery post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump dismissed the CNN report and reaffirmed that the strikes “completely destroyed” key nuclear facilities in Iran cities including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. He also accused The New York Times of attempting to "demean one of the most successful military strikes in history."

CNN, cited two sources familiar with a Pentagon intelligence assessment, reported that Iran’s enriched uranium remained undamaged and that centrifuges at targeted sites were “largely intact.” Another official reported that Iran had moved most of its nuclear material before the U.S. strikes, further minimizing the impact.

The New York Times and The Washington Post also reported almost same findings, referencing a preliminary analysis by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) which concluded that the recent US strikes may have only set back Iran’s nuclear program by just few months.

When asked by reporters about these claims, Trump remained defiant. “That place is under rock. That place is demolished,” he said, referring to Iran’s protected nuclear installations.

This sharp rebuke is the latest in Trump’s long-standing feud with mainstream media outlets, particularly CNN, which he consistently accuses of spreading misinformation and undermining his policies.
