WASHINGTON (Web Desk): Armenia and Azerbaijan to sign a historic peace deal at the White House, ending decades of conflict, says Trump.

In a major diplomatic breakthrough, Azerbaijan and Armenia are finally set to end decades of hostility by signing a formal peace agreement at the White House today. The deal, according to former US President Donald Trump, will mark the end of a long-standing regional conflict that has claimed thousands of lives and displaced countless families.

Sharing the news on social media, Trump declared, “Many global leaders tried to end this war but couldn’t. I’m the one who brought peace.”

The agreement will be signed in the presence of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, both of whom are also expected to sign separate economic cooperation agreements with the United States.

This peace initiative is being seen as a potential resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, a territorial dispute that has fueled tensions between the two countries for over 30 years. Despite multiple ceasefires brokered by international mediators, sustainable peace had remained out of reach—until now.

While official terms of the peace deal are yet to be released, sources suggest it includes mutual border recognition, a demilitarized buffer zone, and joint reconstruction efforts in war-affected areas.

The White House is preparing for a high-profile signing ceremony, which will be attended by diplomats and dignitaries from various countries, marking the significance of this moment not just for the region, but for global diplomacy.

If successful, the agreement will be remembered as a rare moment when political will and negotiation triumphed over decades of conflict, and a personal diplomatic victory claimed by Donald Trump.
