We’re people of May 28, not May 9, says Nawaz Sharif
Dubai: (Sano News) Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has said he had left his matter to Allah earlier, adding that even today he is leaving his matter to Him.
“It is a matter of concern why the situation has reached this stage. Things are bad. We have to fix these things ourselves. We are the people of May 28, not May 9,” he said while talking to the media at Dubai Airport.
Nawaz said that he was happy to return to Pakistan after four years, adding that the conditions in the country were not as good as they were in 2017.
“The country’s conditions would have been better today. Instead of moving forward, Pakistan was pushed backwards,” he lamented.
He said that cases against him had caused damage to the country.
When I was leaving Pakistan, I felt completely disheartened. Now, as I return, I am filled with immense joy, and I believe Pakistan will get back on the path of development!

“We should not lose hope. It is very disturbing to see the situation in Pakistan. Pakistan had bid farewell to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The country should have been among great nations,” he emphasised.
“Our priority regarding elections is what the election commission will say. What the election commission says will be my priority. I hope the election commission will conduct transparent elections. We are ready for the election. Only the election commission can make the best decision regarding elections,” he added.
“My heart is very sad to see the situation in Pakistan,” he said.
