(Web Desk): Meta has boosted user creativity by launching advanced AI animations that transform static Facebook photos into dynamic, high-engagement clips.

Facebook is undergoing a major visual transformation as Meta rolls out a suite of generative AI tools designed to make the platform more interactive.

The centerpiece of this update is the ability for users to animate their profile pictures. By using Meta AI, a standard still headshot can now be turned into a playful animation featuring effects like waving, heart gestures, or virtual party hats in just a few seconds.

The tech giant is also introducing the "Restyle" tool for Stories and Memories. This feature allows users to completely reimagine their photos using AI prompts or artistic presets such as "anime" or "ethereal."

Beyond just filters, Restyle can modify lighting, color schemes, and even swap out backgrounds for cityscapes or beaches, giving old memories a fresh, modern aesthetic.

These features are rolling out globally, with more seasonal animations expected to arrive later this year.
