According to the official statement issued by PTA, on June 20, all mobile users in Pakistan will receive 2GB of free internet data valid for 24 hours.

In addition, users will also get 200 on-net call minutes absolutely free, allowing them to connect with friends and family without any charges.

This gesture comes as PTA celebrates a major milestone — Pakistan is either about to reach or has already surpassed the 200 million mobile subscriber mark. Current stats show that the number of mobile users in the country has exceeded 197.7 million, while broadband subscribers now number over 143 million.

Moreover, mobile coverage now reaches 80.30% of the country, marking a significant step forward in nationwide digital access.

The number of fixed-line users has also surpassed 3 million, reflecting rapid growth in Pakistan’s digital connectivity landscape.

Congratulating the entire nation on this achievement, the PTA described the free package as a small token of appreciation for the users who have trusted the telecom sector and made digital communication a part of their daily lives.

The initiative not only celebrates the milestone but also aims to encourage further use of digital services.
