The project is aimed at equipping 27,000 rural women with IT and digital skills.
Under the programme, women will receive scholarships during their training and will be provided with desktop computers and free Wi-Fi devices upon completion.
The Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) will oversee the six-month online training, enabling women to apply from home through the official website.
The curriculum covers various digital skills, including IT, web development, coding, e-commerce, digital marketing, social media management, freelancing, graphic design, data entry, office automation, and cybersecurity.
Participants will also receive certifications and job placement support after completing the training.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized that this initiative will empower women to pursue freelancing, establish tech startups, or run online businesses from home, breaking traditional employment barriers.
She highlighted that digital training will enhance economic independence, allowing women to compete in the global IT market and contribute to Punjab’s digital transformation.
