Tareen rules any delay in elections
MULTAN: (Suno News) Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) patron-in-chief Jahangir Khan Tareen on Friday ruled out any possibility of delay in the upcoming general elections in the country.
Talking to the media in Multan, Tareen underscored the importance of the national economy. Stressing a need for self-reliance in all fields of life, he said that total reliance on foreign assistance could not allow the economy to strengthen.
He said that general elections must be held on February 8. He promised the local people that after coming to power his party would launch record development projects in his ancestral district of Multan. He said that then people from other cities would visit Multan and laud the exemplary development.
He said that he will not leave NA-149 constituency of Multan. If IPP is empowered in the general elections, he said, up to 300 units of electricity will free besides other civic amenities. He said efforts would be made to increase agricultural production which would help strengthen the economy which will result people’s welfare across the country.
