According to PCB sources, national cricketers in Category C will now receive Rs2.5 million per month instead of Rs2 million, while national cricketers in Category D will now receive Rs1.5 million per month instead of Rs1.2 million.
PCB sources say that there has been no increase in the monthly remuneration of Category B players. Category B was paid a monthly remuneration of around Rs4.5 million, which is still the same.

It is also worth mentioning here that the players in Category A used to get Rs6.5 million per month. Last year, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were in Category A.
Now, those who moved from A to B have lost at least Rs2 million per month, meaning Babar and Rizwan had to bear a loss of Rs2 million per month.
PCB sources say that no player in the central contract could meet the criteria for Category A, which is why Category A has been abolished this year.
