LAHORE (Web Desk): Arsenal moved back to the top of the Premier League table after beating Brighton in a tense match, with Martin Odegaard scoring and David Raya making a late saves to secure the win.

The win came after Manchester City briefly pushed Arsenal to second place earlier in the day. The Gunners took the lead when Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen’s goal kick was intercepted. Bukayo Saka set up Captain Martin Odegaard, who calmly scored from the edge of the box for his first league goal of the season.

Arsenal dominated the first half but failed to reflect it fully on the scoreboard. They took 15 shots, with five on target, while Brighton failed to register a single effort before the break.

Seven minutes into the second half, Arsenal doubled their lead. Declan Rice’s corner caused confusion, and Georginio Rutter accidentally flicked the ball into his own net, marking another own goal in Arsenal’s favour.

Brighton refused to give up and pulled one back with their first shot on target. Yasin Ayari hit the post, and Diego Gomez reacted quickly to score from the rebound.

The visitors pushed hard for an equaliser after winger Yankuba Minteh was introduced at half-time. His pace troubled Arsenal, forcing goalkeeper David Raya to make a brilliant save to protect the lead.

Raya’s stop proved decisive as Arsenal held on to secure all three points and return to the top of the table.
