BULAWAYO (Web Desk): India set a 253-run target for Pakistan in a crucial Under-19 World Cup match, keeping the semi-final race wide open.

In the match being played in Bulawayo, India batted first after Pakistan won the toss. India were bowled out for 252 runs in 49.5 overs, putting Pakistan under pressure in a must-win game.

Vedant Trivedi was the top scorer for India with 68 runs. Kanishk Chauhan added 35, while Surya Vanshi scored 30 runs. R S Ambrish made 29, Khilan Patel scored 21, and both Arun George and Abhigyan were dismissed after scoring 16 runs each.

Pakistan bowlers shared the wickets. Abdul Subhan was the most successful, taking three wickets. Mohammad Siyam picked up two, while Ali Raza, Ahmed Hussain, Momin Qamar, and Ali Hasan Baloch claimed one wicket each.

Pakistan Under-19 now need to chase the target within 33.3 overs to secure a place in the semi-finals. Australia, England, and Afghanistan have already qualified for the last four.

After the toss, Pakistan Under-19 captain Farhan Yousuf said the team would try to play positive cricket. He praised the bowlers for their strong performance in the previous match and confirmed one change in the playing eleven. He added that the team aims to defeat India by a big margin.
