Pakistan Under-19 cricket team booked a blockbuster U19 Asia Cup final against India after producing a commanding all-round performance to defeat Bangladesh by eight wickets in the semi-final of the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025.
The rain-affected semi-final was played at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai and reduced to 27 overs per side due to overnight showers and a wet outfield. Pakistan captain Farhan Yousaf won the toss and opted to field first, a decision that proved decisive.
Pakistan Bowlers Dominate Bangladesh
Pakistan’s bowlers put Bangladesh under constant pressure and bowled them out for 121 runs in 26.3 overs. Right-arm pacer Abdul Subhan led the attack with an impressive four-wicket haul, triggering a batting collapse in the middle overs.
He received solid support from Huzaifa Ahsan, who claimed two wickets, while Ali Raza, Mohammad Sayyam and Ahmed Hussain chipped in with one wicket each. For Bangladesh, Samiun Basir top-scored with 33 runs, but lacked support from the other end.

Chasing a modest target, Pakistan reached the winning runs in just 16.3 overs, losing only two wickets and finishing with 69 balls to spare. Although opener Hamza Zahoor was dismissed early for a duck, the setback was short-lived.
Sameer Minhas anchored the chase with a brilliant 69 not out off 57 balls, smashing six fours and two sixes. He stitched an aggressive 85-run partnership with Usman Khan, who contributed a quick 27 off 26 balls, including two fours and two sixes.
After Usman’s dismissal, Ahmed Hussain joined Sameer and calmly guided Pakistan home with an unbeaten stand. Ahmed remained not out on 11, ensuring a smooth finish.
