In a crucial Super Eight match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Pakistan gave England a target of 165 runs to win.
The match is being played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy. After winning the toss, Pakistan decided to bat first and scored 164 runs in their full 20 overs.
Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub opened the innings. However, Pakistan lost an early wicket when Saim Ayub was dismissed for 7 runs off 7 balls with the total at just 14.

Captain Salman Agha came to the crease but could not stay long. He scored only 5 runs off 6 balls before getting out.
Babar Azam then joined Sahibzada Farhan and helped stabilize the innings. The pair took the score to 73 runs, but Babar was dismissed after scoring 25 runs.
Farhan continued to play confidently and, along with Fakhar Zaman, pushed the total to 122. Farhan played a strong knock of 63 runs before being trapped lbw.
Fakhar Zaman scored 25 runs, while Usman Khan added 8 runs from 5 balls. Mohammad Nawaz returned without scoring, and Shaheen Afridi managed just 2 runs.
Now all eyes are on England as they chase the 165-run target in this important Super Eight contest.
