Lahore (Web Desk): Hyderabad Kingsmen set a huge 226-run target for Multan Sultans after scoring 225 in their PSL 11 match at Gaddafi Stadium.

In the eighth match of Pakistan Super League season 11, Hyderabad Kingsmen decided to bat first after winning the toss. The team produced a powerful batting performance and scored 225 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

The innings started strongly with an impressive opening partnership between Saim Ayub and Moaz Sadaqat. Both batters gave their team early momentum and added 59 runs for the first wicket.

Saim Ayub played a steady knock but returned to the pavilion after scoring 27 runs. However, Moaz Sadaqat continued attacking the bowlers and played a brilliant innings.

Moaz Sadaqat smashed 62 runs from just 26 balls. His explosive knock included five sixes and five fours, putting strong pressure on the Multan bowlers.

Team captain Marnus Labuschagne could only score eight runs before getting out. Wicketkeeper batter Usman Khan added 25 runs but was caught on the bowling of Mohammad Wasim Junior. Meanwhile, Syed Saad Ali contributed 23 runs to strengthen the team’s total.

In the final overs, Sharjeel Khan played an important role by scoring 51 runs and remained not out. Irfan Khan Niazi also stayed unbeaten on 22 runs, helping the team reach a big total of 225.

For Multan Sultans, Mohammad Wasim Junior was the most successful bowler and took two wickets. Austin Turner, Peter Siddle and Mohammad Nawaz each managed to take one wicket.

With a target of 226 runs now set, Multan Sultans face a tough challenge if they want to secure victory in this high-scoring PSL contest.
