DUBAI (Web Desk): Pakistan’s journey in the Asia Cup faces uncertainty today as the possibility of the scheduled match against UAE almost vanished, creating panic among fans.

Sources reveal that the match between Pakistan and UAE seems unlikely. The national players were instructed to leave the hotel lobby and return to their rooms, sparking speculation about Pakistan’s exit from the tournament.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is expected to hold a press conference soon to announce whether Pakistan will continue to play in the Asia Cup or withdraw.

Meanwhile, the meeting between PCB and ICC over the controversial match referee Andy Pycroft has ended. Pakistan has made two strong demands: first, to remove the referee, and second, to fine Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav for making political comments.

Following the ICC meeting, Chairman PCB invited two former chairmen, Najam Sethi and Ramiz Raja, for urgent consultation. This has added even more weight to the developing crisis.

PCB spokesperson Aamir Mir confirmed that the match between Pakistan and UAE has been delayed by one hour. He added that Mohsin Naqvi’s final decision will be announced after consulting with Sethi and Raja.

It is important to note that Pakistan Cricket Board has not yet received ICC’s official response on removing Andy Pycroft. Sources warn that if the referee is not replaced, Pakistan may refuse to travel to the stadium.

The uncertainty surrounding Pakistan’s future in the Asia Cup has left fans on edge. The referee dispute and demand for action against Yadav have turned into a high-voltage cricket drama. PCB’s consultations with former chairmen show the seriousness of the crisis. If ICC does not agree to Pakistan’s demands, the national team may take the bold step of pulling out. The next few hours will decide Pakistan’s Asia Cup journey.
