LAHORE: (Web Desk) Ahead of the 10th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already introduced two new franchise buyers for the 11th edition.

According to sources, two Pakistani individuals active in American cricket have shown interest in purchasing PSL teams, and discussions have already taken place with PCB representatives.

Sources suggest that one of these individuals could purchase a team for the PSL, while an important stakeholder in Pakistan s cricketing landscape has also expressed interest in acquiring a team.

It is noteworthy that the PCB has expressed a desire to host some PSL matches in the United States in the future. In this regard, the league s chairman, Salman Naseer, is currently visiting various cities in the U.S.

Previously, PCB Chairman Najam Sethi, in his capacity as Pakistan s Interior Minister, had attended the inauguration ceremony of U.S. President Donald Trump, where he met with two Pakistani officials active in American cricket and discussed the potential for future collaboration.

It is also important to mention that most team owners in the U.S. cricket league are Indian, and the cricket association there is similarly dominated by Indian influence. This means that establishing a strong presence for Pakistan in the U.S. market may not be an easy task. However, the PCB is actively exploring options, as leaving this vast market to India alone is not considered ideal.

It is confirmed that two new teams will be added in the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
