MULTAN: (Suno News) In a high-stakes showdown of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Multan Sultans have challenged Lahore Qalandars with a giant target of 229 runs in the 12th match of the tournament.

Batting first after winning the toss at their home ground, Multan Sultans posted a powerful 228 runs for the loss of just 5 wickets in 20 overs. Opener Yasir Khan was the star of the show, smashing a blazing 87 off just 44 balls with 6 sixes and 6 boundaries.

Skipper Mohammad Rizwan contributed 32 runs, while Usman Khan added 39, and Iftikhar Ahmed played a fiery cameo of 40 off just 18 balls. Austin Turner (15) and Michael Bracewell (9) added quick runs before returning to the pavilion. Kamran Ghulam remained not out with 3 runs.

For Lahore Qalandars, Rashid Hussain picked up 2 wickets, while Shaheen Afridi, Asif Afridi, and Sikandar Raza took one each.

This is a must-win match for Multan Sultans, who are yet to register a victory this season despite playing three matches. They are currently at the bottom of the points table.
