Taking to his Instagram account, Sarfraz Ahmed made the announcement while sharing a photo with franchise owner Nadeem Omar.
“Today I want to tell you that my time with Quetta Gladiators has come to an end and I feel very proud that my journey of 9 years with this amazing team has been wonderful and beautiful, Sarfaraz said in a post.
He expressed his thanks to owner of Quetta Gladiator Naddem Omar.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank Nadeem Bhai for giving me the opportunity to play for his team and for providing everything that I required as a player and captain,” Sarfraz wrote.
“My best wishes will always be with your team,” he added.
Since the start of the league, Sarfaraz was associated with Quetta Gladiators. Earlier, the franchise released the former captain. Sarfraz played 86 PSL matches for the Gladiators and made 1525 scores at 29.32 with seven half-centuries.
It is pertinent to mention that Sarfaraz has led the Gladiators eight times before being replaced by South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw in last season.
