LAHORE: (Suno News) The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has relieved Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq of their duties as members of the National Cricket Team Selection Committee as part of the ‘major surgery’ after Pakistan’s disappointing performance in the T20 World Cup.

More changes are expected in the days to come as PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has given a free hand to the coaches of the national cricket team, informed sources said.

During an important meeting with the Pakistan cricket team coaches, including white ball head coach Gary Kirsten, red ball head coach Jason Gillespie and stunt coach Azhar Mahmood, the coaching issues of Pakistani players were discussed.

In the meeting, it was decided to formulate a comprehensive plan to improve batting, bowling, and particularly fielding.

In the meeting, it was agreed that the player’s inclusion in the team would be subject to fitness. It was said, “The Pakistani team is not lacking in talent. There is a lack of good combinations.”

The foreign coaches informed the PCB chairman about the plan to improve the performance of the team.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi agreed to the suggestions of the coaches.

He told them he had full confidence in them and gave them full support in coaching the players.
