PCB announces new umpire, referee panels for 2025-26 cricket season

(Web Desk): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed umpires and match referees panel for the 2025–26 domestic cricket season.

Officials panel of 2025-26 cricket season showcase a balanced blend of experienced officials and emerging talent in both men’s and women’s categories.

Leading the list is Ali Naqvi, who has been named to the ICC International Panel of Match Officials as a Match Referee.

ICC International Panel

The International Panel features five top officials now eligible to officiate international fixtures:

·        Ali Naqvi (Match Referee)

·        Asif Yaqoob (Islamabad)

·        Rashid Riaz Waqar (Lahore)

·        Saleema Imtiaz (Karachi)

·        Faisal Khan Afridi (Sargodha)

PCB National Panels

Elite Panel of Match Referees:

Ten match referees make up the National Elite Panel, including Aleem Khan Musa, Athar Laik, Bilal Moinul Haq Khilji, Iftikhar Ahmed, Kamran Chaudhry, Muhammad Aslam, Muhammad Iqbal Sheikh, Nadeem Arshad, Sohail Idris, and Ali Naqvi.

National Elite Panel of Umpires:

Eighteen umpires have been selected, among them Abdul Muqit, Ali Haider, Asif Yaqoob, Farooq Ali Khan, Faisal Khan Afridi, Ghulam Sarwar, Imran Javed, Kashif Sohail, Khalid Mahmood Sr., Nasir Hussain, Rashid Riaz Waqar, Saqib Khan, and Zulfiqar Jan.

Supplementary Panels:

The Supplementary I Panel includes 14 umpires such as Asif Farooq Awan, Hassan Mahmood, and Irfan Haider, while the Supplementary II Panel features 24 umpires promoted from the Emerging Panel, including Noorul Hakam, Hidayatullah, and Maqbool Ahmed. The Supplementary Panel of Match Referees lists 10 members, including Abul Hasnat Rao, Ali Gohar, and Thaman Zulfiqar.

Emerging Panel:

A 40-member Emerging Panel has been formed to nurture young umpiring talent nationwide, with names like Aamir Atta, Abdul Basit, Abrar Ahmed, and Muhammad Aamir Sharif.

Women’s Panel:

The Women’s Umpiring Panel comprises 13 officials from across Pakistan, including Aafia Amin, Saleema Imtiaz, Fakhra Kazim Syeda, Sania Ashraf, and Zakia Gul, representing cities such as Karachi, Kasur, Khairpur, Lahore, Multan, and Muzaffarabad.
