Abdul Samad was the top scorer for Pakistan, contributing 44 runs from 30 balls. He and Ifran Niazi were the only two Pakistani batters to reach double figures.
For New Zealand, Jacob Duffy claimed four wickets, Zakary Foulkes took three, while Will O Rourke, Ish Sodhi, and James Neesham each picked up one wicket.
New Zealand s batters contributed with quick-fire innings, reaching a total of 220 for six. Finn Allen was the top scorer with 50 off 20 balls, followed by Michael Bracewell with 46 (26), Tim Seifert 44 (22), Daryl Mitchell 29 (23), and Mark Chapman 24 (16), all adding vital runs.
Haris Rauf once again impressed with the ball, claiming three wickets for 27 runs. However, Shaheen Shah Afridi dropped a catch off Rauf s bowling during the 19th over.
Abrar Ahmad took two wickets for 41 runs, while Abbas Afridi claimed one for 38.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl first against New Zealand in the fourth Twenty20 in Mount Maunganui on Sunday as they bid to square the five-match series.
New Zealand made two changes from the team that lost the third match in Auckland on Friday by nine wickets.
