(Web Desk) Former Pakistan captain and batter Misbah-ul-Haq is among those interviewed for the role of head coach for the national Test team, as uncertainty continues to loom over the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

According to sources within PCB, Misbah has shown interest in leading the red-ball team and has been in discussions with the board about the position.

The former head coach, who also served as chief selector from 2019 to 2021, is reportedly concerned about the unclear nature of the current recruitment process.

Sources added that members of the selection committee and team mentors are similarly uneasy about the ongoing ambiguity within the PCB. Despite interviews and meetings with senior officials, there has been no clear communication from the board regarding the appointment process or the future direction of the Test team.

“The selection committee had a detailed meeting with PCB officials seeking clarification, but there was no official response from the board,” said a source familiar with the matter.

“This continued silence has created confusion among selectors and coaching staff.”
