KARACHI: (Web Desk) In a thrilling opening match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Pakistan will take on New Zealand today.

The cricket fans are eagerly anticipating the showdown at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.

Cricket experts predict that there is 56 percent chance of victory for Pakistan.

The match, which will commence at 2 pm, with the toss scheduled for 1:30 pm. Before the match, the cricket fans will be entertained by stunning event, featuring a flypast by JF-17 and F-16.

President Asif Ali Zardari will grace the opening ceremony as the chief guest.

Pakistan captain Muhammad Rizwan is optimistic about gaining victory in today’s match.

Eight top teams in world cricket are contesting for the much coveted Champions trophy.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that through the event of the Champions Trophy, the country has an opportunity to introduce its culture to the world.

“I welcome players of all participating teams from the bottom of my heart,” Naqvi said.

The holding of the event shows that Pakistan is a peaceful country. Today, every Pakistani, including me, is feeling proud, he added.
