International Cricket Council (ICC) issued the new ranking of One Day, T20 International, and Test series
According to new ranking, Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam retained number one place in One Day ranking with 759 rating points.
This is the fourth consecutive time that Babar Azam has ended the year as the top-ranked batter in the ODI rankings. Babar Azam held the top position at the end of 2022, 2021, 2023, and 2024. He is the only Pakistani batter to achieve this honour.
Earlier, former Indian captain Virat Kohli and former South African captain AB de Villiers also achieved this distinction four times in a row.
Saim Ayub reached 23rd spot after delivering a brilliant performance in the ODI series and scoring two centuries in the three ODIs.
Shaheen Shah Afridi retained third spot in the ODI bowling rankings.
Salman Ali Agha, Pakistan white-ball vice-captain, also showed his prowess, paving the way for him to move up 28 spots to 80th with 468 points.
