The Light Heavyweight Championship is a specific weight class typically for fighters weighing between 175 to 205 pounds (79 to 93 kg).

The professional martial arts league hosts events around the globe, showcasing bouts between fighters from different weight classes and nations.

Rind was congratulated by Pakistan High Commissioner to Singapore Rabia Shafiq for the “smashing fight and historic victory” at the Karate Combat Singapore.

In a post on X, the Pakistani diplomat said, “You have done us all proud. Keep reaching new heights, champ! Shout out to Pakistanis in Singapore for a massive show of support.”

Also in April this year, Shahzaib Rind convincingly defeated Rana Singh to edge India out 2-1 in the Karate Combat 45 competition in Dubai.

The match between the two countries was decided in the final round after Pakistan’s Rizwan Ali and India’s Himanshu Kaushik won the first and second competition of the match, respectively.

Karate Combat wrote on social media platform X, “Shahzaib Rind is just unstoppable inside the pit! Pakistan beats India 2-1 with this victory.”
