Security forces eliminate two terrorists in operation on Pak-Afghan border
ISLAMABAD: (Suno News) Two terrorists were killed while four were injured Wednesday in an intelligence-based operation of security forces on the Pak-Afghan border.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was carried out in the Ursoon area of the Chitral district on the Pak-Afghan border.
During the operation, there was an intense exchange of fire between the security forces and the terrorists.
In the exchange of intense fire, two terrorists were killed and four were seriously injured.
According to the ISPR, a clearance operation was also launched to eliminate terrorists in the nearby area.
The locals appreciated the timely and dynamic operation of the security forces. “Pakistan’s security forces are determined to root out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
Lt-Col Muhammad Hassan Haider and three other security personnel, who were martyred last day in Tirah Valley, were laid to rest in their native areas after funeral prayers.
Senior civil and military officials including Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Sahir Shamshad Mirza attended the funeral prayers.
