Sarfaraz Ahmed announces establishing university in Karachi
KARACHI: (Web Desk) Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has announced building a university in Karachi to provide free education.
The wicket-keeper batter said that acquiring knowledge had become very difficult in the era of inflation.
“It has become impossible for students to pay the financial expenses of education while sometimes even getting admission to an educational institution is not possible due to increasing fees,” he pointed out.
“Education should not be denied due to the lack of financial resources,” he said and added that he had decided to establish a university in collaboration with a non-governmental organisation (NGO) working for welfare purposes.
“Students will be provided free education in this university so that they can improve their future by acquiring knowledge and brighten the name of the country and nation,” he said.
Sarfaraz said that he was making utmost efforts for the establishment of the university, adding public cooperation was very important in that regard.
“In order to complete the project, all stakeholders including universities and academicians across the country will be contacted for support,” he stated.
