Lahore police launch heavy-handed crackdown on kite makers, flyers
LAHORE: (Suno News) Police in Lahore have launched a heavy-handed crackdown on kite makers and flyers.
According to police, 301 cases have been registered so far this year over the violation of the Kite Flying Act.
More than 3,000 kites and more than 3,700 string rolls and wheels have been recovered from the accused.
City Division police registered 70 cases, Cantt police 73, Model Town Division police 53, Saddr Division police 26, Iqbal Town police 53, and Civil Lines Division police registered 26 cases against the accused.
The DIG Operations said that kite flying was not a sport but a dangerous activity. He advised parents to keep their children from flying kites, adding that their kids’ few minutes of fun could cause lifelong pain to someone.
On the other hand, unknown masked persons entered a property dealer’s office and shot three people including two brothers dead in the Khanpur area of Sheikhupura.
