PML-N launches election manifesto

LAHORE: (Suno News) Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said that he had faced jail many times for serving the people.

The former prime minister stated these remarks while addressing the launching ceremony of the long-awaited PML-N manifesto.

“Today, I am not in the mood to complain. I am here to plan for the future. The focus is on the politics of development, not revenge. We were subjected to every type of revenge. The manifesto of PML-N has been prepared with great effort. I will fully follow the manifesto of PML-N,” he said.

“We had taken out a long march for restoring judges. When our long march reached Gujranwala, the news of the restoration of judges came. People asked us to take the long march to Islamabad. I asked them why I should take the long march to Islamabad. I would never have done what this person did in the previous government,” his remark was directed at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.

“We gave full opportunity to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) to complete the government. We all signed the Charter of Democracy. The PPP was in the government from 2008 to 2013. We had differences with the PPP on various issues,” he added.

The PML-N supremo deplored the five judges of the Supreme Court who had disqualified him and also the jails he, his family members, and party leaders had been thrown into. “Sometimes, I wonder where the mistake was made that a prime minister was disqualified and no one complained. Our manifesto has been prepared with great effort. If we come to power, we will fully implement the manifesto.”
