Islamabad: (Suno News) Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar condemned the Israeli brutalities in a phone call to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday.

The prime minister discussed with the Palestinian president the situation resulting from the ongoing brutalities of Israeli occupation forces against innocent Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.

The prime minister strongly condemned the incessant and lethal bombardment by Israeli occupation forces. He expressed Pakistan’s condemnation of the bombing of Al-Ahli Hospital.

The prime minister termed these incidents deplorable. He added that those willful acts of Israeli aggression against the innocent Palestinians had resulted in the loss of more than 3,000 precious lives while 12,000 people were injured.

Both leaders emphasised that the international community needs to urge Israel to immediately stop the bloodshed.

They also emphasised the need to lift the blockade on Gaza to facilitate the delivery of vital humanitarian aid and medical assistance to the affected people.

Pakistan has also dispatched its first batch of humanitarian assistance for the Palestinian people which landed in Egypt yesterday.

The prime minister stressed that the international community, particularly the United Nations, needed to take resolute measures to resolve the crisis and uphold the principles of justice, humanity, and international law.

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar also reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to a just and lasting resolution of the Palestinian conflict, based on the “two-state” solution, leading to the establishment of a sovereign and viable Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, and the borders that existed before 1967.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas thanked Pakistan for supporting the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom from Israeli occupation.
