PM convenes National Security Committee moot today
ISLAMABAD: (Suno News) Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has convened an emergency meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) at 4:30 pm today.
According to official sources, the caretaker prime minister has cut short his visit to Switzerland due to recent Pakistan-Iran tension.
The prime minister will chair the NSC meeting today to discuss the situation arising after Pakistan and Iran conducted military strikes on each other territory.
The services’ chiefs will attend the meeting. The civil and military leadership will consider the security situation and Pak-Iran tension.
A meeting of the federal cabinet was also called today.
It is to be noted here that two children were killed and three girls injured in military strikes carried out by Iran in Balochistan province on January 17.
Less than 48 hours after Iran violated its airspace, Pakistan launched an attack on terrorist hideouts in the Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchistan, killing several terrorists.
