Rain, thunderstorms forecast across Pakistan as western system hits
(Web Desk): Rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is expected across several Pakistani cities as a western weather system enters the country on February 16.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms in multiple cities as a western disturbance approaches Pakistan.

According to the PMD, the western weather system will enter the country’s western regions on February 16, with its effects spreading to various parts nationwide.

Balochistan Weather Update

Under the influence of this system, rain is expected on February 16 and 17 in several areas of Balochistan, including Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Nokkundi, Dalbandin, Noshki, Harnai, Zhob, Kalat, Mastung, Barkhan, Sibi, Loralai, Khuzdar, Kech, Turbat, Panjgur, Gwadar, and Lasbela.

Sindh Rain Forecast

From February 17, Karachi and Hyderabad are likely to experience rain with strong winds and thunderstorms. Additionally, Thatta, Badin, Jamshoro, Dadu, and Sukkur may also receive rainfall as the system moves eastward.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & Punjab Outlook

The PMD predicts light to moderate rain on February 16 and 17 in Waziristan, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, and Kurram, with a chance of hailstorms in Dera Ismail Khan.
Meanwhile, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bhakkar, and Bahawalpur are expected to receive light rain during the same period.

Advisory

Authorities advise residents to remain cautious during strong winds and thunderstorms, especially in areas prone to urban flooding or hailstorms.
