The motorway open status was restored on key routes after weather conditions improved on Friday.
Motorway Police confirmed that the Lahore–Sialkot Motorway has been reopened for traffic. Visibility improved significantly, allowing safe movement of vehicles.
The M2 motorway has also been opened for traffic after a reduction in fog intensity. Authorities temporarily closed the road earlier due to poor visibility.
In addition, the M5 motorway is now open for all types of traffic following better weather conditions.
Motorway Police spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmed shared the updates. He urged drivers to remain cautious despite the reopening.
Officials advised motorists to maintain safe speeds and use fog lights where necessary. They also asked drivers to follow lane discipline and avoid unnecessary travel during late-night and early-morning hours.
