Besides rain, the cool winds brought a relief the citizens. Showers were also reported in Peshawar, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Kala Bagh, Attock, Faisalabad, Nankana Sahib, Muridke, Kasur, Bhakkar, Darya Khan, Hangu, Ghotki and various other districts.

According to the Meteorological Department, the current rain spell will continue until February 21. The skies will remain cloudy for the next 24 hours, according to weather forecast.

During this period, the PMD warned that landslides and avalanches are predicted in the hilly regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Murree, Galliyat and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Tourists have been urged to exercise extra caution and avoid unnecessary travel.
