Punjab govt successfully conducts artificial rain experiment

LAHORE (Web Desk): The provincial government conducted artificial rain experiment successfully with local technology in the upper Punjab.

As most parts of the Punjab grappled with smog and toxic air pollution, government took initiative to mitigate the hazardous effects of smog, conducted experiment of artificial rain with local technology in Punjab.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) confirmed that the successful experiment of the artificial rain was conducted in Punjab.

According to the details, the provincial government conducted the experiment of artificial rain with the collaboration of Pakistan Army s Scientific Research and Development experts, Army Aviation, Pak Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO), and the Environmental Protection Agency.

The process of “cloud seeding” was carried out around 2pm which resulted rainfall in Jhelum and Gojar Khan after few hours.

Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif congratulated all the concerned department and scientists for successful experiment of artificial rain, saying that their hard work yielded the positive result.

“Entire nation proud of them,” she added.

Senior minister Marriyum Aurangzeb also congratulated the people and the team for successful experiment.
