LAHORE (Web Desk): The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast that most parts of the country will experience cold and dry weather.

As per department’s forecast, very cold weather is expected in hilly areas.

The department predicts that moderate to dense fog in patches is likely in plains areas including northeast parts of Punjab, whereas shallow to moderate fog is likely in south Punjab and upper Sindh.

Frost is expected to occur at scattered places in Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar region and upper Punjab. Gusty winds are expected in most central and southern parts of the country during afternoon, according to PMD.

Temperature recorded in Islamabad and Muzaffarabad at 3°C, Lahore at 8°C, Karachi at 11°C, Peshawar at 6°C, Quetta -1°C, Gilgit -4°C and Murree 2°C.

According to weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, very cold and dry weather is expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramulla.
