Light rain/drizzle is expected in Punjab: Here’s Met Office detail

ISLAMABAD: (Web Des) The Met Office has predicted that partly cloudy weather with chances of light rain/drizzle is expected in north-east Punjab.

A shallow westerly wave is present over upper parts of the country, according to data compiled by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-wind-thunderstorm (with snowfall over hills) is likely at isolated places in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Partly cloudy weather with chances of light rain/drizzle is expected in north-east Punjab during the period. Shallow fog (in patches) is likely at few plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during night hours.

In Wednesday, the PMD predicted, cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country while, very cold in northern areas. Fog (in patches) is likely at plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning/night hours.

During the past 24 hours, rain-wind/thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern Balochistan, Punjab and upper Sindh while snowfall in Kalam.

Cold/partly cloudy weather prevailed over other parts of the country.
