Authorities have instructed people to avoid crossing rivers, bridges, and flooded roads in case of high flow. Residents of low-lying areas should make advance arrangements to move valuables and livestock to safe places in view of possible flooding.
The NDMA has asked residents of sensitive areas to keep an emergency kit containing 3 to 5 days of food, water, and medicine ready for emergencies. Local administrations and relevant agencies should keep the necessary machinery and pumps ready for immediate drainage. Residents of flood-prone areas should be aware of official warnings through TV and mobile alerts.
The NDMA has issued instructions to all relevant agencies to ensure advance measures are taken to deal with any potential emergency situation, urging the public to seek guidance from the Pak NDMA Disaster Alert App for weather and potential hazard awareness.
