
According to official sources, Lahore Commissioner Zaid bin Maqsood visited different areas of the city and the head office of the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) and inspected the drainage operation.

The Lahore commissioner also advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel, adding operations are underway to drain heavy rainwater. He said the traffic police have been directed to ensure smooth flow of traffic on all the roads and squares in the city.
He also advised the citizens to stay away from electricity pylons, adding the LESCO teams have been mobilised to check electricity pylons in the streets and squares in the city.
On the other hand, the Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) advised the citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and take precautionary measures given the heavy rains across the province. It also advised the government and private offices to allow work from home.
