The amendment was presented by treasury MPA Daud Shah. The session was chaired by Speaker Mohammad Idrees Khan.
Under the new rules, transfer fees for motorcycles and rickshaws have been removed temporarily. Earlier, these fees were Rs500 for motorcycles and Rs800 for rickshaws.
In addition, private registration mark fees have also been waived. These charges were Rs2,300 for motorcycles and Rs2,600 for rickshaws.
The relief package also includes free number plates and smart cards. This means vehicle owners will not have to pay these costs during the one-month period.
Law Minister Aftab Alam Afridi said the decision is meant to support low-income groups. He explained that the waiver is temporary and depends on the economic situation.
The government aims to provide short-term financial relief through this step. It is expected to help many citizens manage their expenses.

Officials made it clear that the relief will last only for one month. After that, normal fees are likely to be restored unless a new decision is taken.
This decision can give quick relief to small vehicle owners. It is especially helpful for people with limited income. But the benefit is short-term only. People may rush to complete transfers before the deadline ends.
