On Monday, Special Judge Central Humayun Dilawar approved Abbasi’s pre-arrest bail against a surety bond of Rs50,000. She appeared in court along with her lawyer Naeem Bukhari and was instructed to join the investigation. The next hearing has been scheduled for April 15.
Officials said the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has registered two separate cases against Abbasi for allegedly running an illegal clinic. She is also on bail in a money laundering case, for which the Islamabad High Court (IHC) recently restored her interim bail, advising her to approach the trial court for further proceedings.

Earlier, Abbasi’s pre-arrest bail plea had been dismissed by the special judge for non-appearance, with the court rejecting her medical exemption request and noting misuse of the pre-arrest bail concession. Following this, she approached the IHC, which granted interim relief, allowing her to file the plea before the trial court.
The case has attracted widespread media attention due to Abbasi’s social media presence and her dual legal battles. Legal experts say the court’s decision emphasizes the importance of cooperation with investigations while safeguarding personal rights.
