The notification titled “Dance for Education” was issued on March 29 by Samreen Mangi, the assistant secretary general. Giving in to the letter written by the UNESCO, the government of Pakistan issued another directive to the all the head of Institutions, Islamabad Models Colleges for Girls in Urban and Rural areas to join the sinful campaign. The second directive was issued by Deputy Director Ziaul Haq.
The letter dated March 29 reads, “I am excited to invite you to join UNESCO’s #Dance for Education campaign. This initiative coincides with the release of the song “Education in the Air” by Goodwill Ambassador A’Salfo and Magic System. It aims to highlight education’s transformative power and its role in shaping a more just and sustainable world.”
Second paragraph of the letter says, “We encourage you to participate by showcasing your creativity and passion for education through dance.” It further says that the dance activities would be shared on the social media. “The campaign will culminate on May 25th, Africa Day, with the best submissions being featured on UNESCO’s social media platform.
