(Web Desk): Punjab has extended the Green Tractor Programme deadline to January 25, 2026, as applications cross 300,000.

The Punjab Agriculture Department has extended the deadline for submitting applications under the Chief Minister Punjab Green Tractor Programme to January 25, 2026, offering fresh relief to farmers across the province.

The decision was announced during a high-level meeting held in Lahore and chaired by Punjab Agriculture Minister Syed Ashiq Hussain Karmani. Officials said the extension was granted in view of the overwhelming response from the farming community.

During the meeting, Minister Karmani revealed that more than 300,000 farmers have already applied under Phase-III of the Green Tractor Programme. He termed the response a strong sign of farmers’ trust in government initiatives aimed at reducing production costs and improving mechanization.

The minister also praised agricultural graduate interns for playing a key role in helping farmers adopt modern farming practices. He said these efforts are contributing to higher productivity and better crop management across Punjab.
