Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has issued a strict directive to ensure that Rescue 1122 emergency services are fully operational in every tehsil of the province. The decision aims to enhance the province’s emergency response capabilities and provide timely medical, fire, and disaster assistance to all citizens.
Under the new directive, officials are required to implement the plan immediately and submit regular progress reports to the provincial government. The move reflects a proactive approach to public safety, ensuring no area in Punjab is left without critical support during emergencies.
The initiative also emphasizes rapid response for natural disasters, accidents, and health emergencies, strengthening coordination between local authorities, hospitals, and Rescue 1122 units. By expanding the operational reach of the emergency service, the provincial government hopes to reduce response times and save lives during critical situations.

Officials have been instructed to ensure that all tehsils are adequately staffed and equipped, including ambulances, medical supplies, and trained personnel. Regular drills and readiness checks will also be conducted to maintain high standards of service.
This directive is part of Punjab’s broader commitment to public safety, following recent efforts to improve fire safety, disaster preparedness, and citizen protection across the province. Authorities believe that a fully operational Rescue 1122 in every tehsil will provide citizens with peace of mind and strengthen confidence in emergency management systems.
