The planned meeting between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has been cancelled, stirring political speculation. Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah cited scheduling conflicts as the reason for not meeting Afridi, fueling debate among political circles.
Meanwhile, KP CM Sohail Afridi has arrived in Karachi and confirmed that his rally will proceed as planned. Speaking to the media, Afridi alleged, “It took us seven and a half hours to reach Karachi from Hyderabad, and we were deliberately pushed onto empty roads.”

Afridi further criticized the Sindh government, claiming that it has “lost touch with reality in its intoxication of power.” Despite the political tension, Afridi assured that Karachi residents continue to show support for former Prime Minister Imran Khan, and the rally will not be postponed.
On the other hand, the Sindh government issued warnings regarding the rally. Provincial Minister for Local Government, Nasir Hussain Shah, stated that Bagh-e-Jinnah is under federal jurisdiction, which caused formal delays in granting permission. He added that the rally could be delayed by an hour or two.
Interior Minister Zia Lanjhar emphasized that the government will fully cooperate if the rally is held at Bagh-e-Jinnah but warned that any inconvenience to the public would not be tolerated.
The cancellation of the CM meeting and the ongoing debate over the rally have intensified political tensions in Karachi, prompting authorities to implement strict security measures across the city.
