Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a Basant festival extension in Lahore due to the overwhelming excitement of citizens.

She shared on X (formerly Twitter) that seeing the joy and enthusiasm of people celebrating Basant after 25 years, she is happy to extend the festivities until 5:00 AM tomorrow.

This Basant festival extension rewards the disciplined celebration by the people of Lahore. Maryam Nawaz urged everyone to continue enjoying the event safely, avoid electric wires, secure their rooftops, and follow all safety instructions.

This careful approach ensures that the Basant festival extension is both fun and safe. Earlier, she praised Lahore residents for following the rules during Basant, noting that the absence of metallic strings kept transformers safe.
