PESHAWAR (Web Desk): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced a protest rally on 1 December, saying the Swabi Motorway will be closed for one day as part of the demonstration, drawing strong public curiosity.

PTI leader Ahmad Khan Niazi said a large rally will start from Peshawar and move towards Swabi, where the main protest will take place.

He stated that the purpose of the protest is to draw public attention to demands for Imran Khan’s release and to highlight the refusal to allow meetings with him. He added that the party’s demand is not limited to a meeting alone, as the founder’s immediate release is also included.

The PTI leader appealed to the public to participate in large numbers so pressure on the government can increase and voices for political prisoners can be strengthened.

He clarified that the protest will remain peaceful and within legal limits, and that any form of violence or damage is strictly prohibited.

On the other hand, following the announcement of the Swabi Motorway closure, the administration is expected to take strict security measures to ensure the safety of citizens and participants.

This protest movement is being seen as a significant moment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s political landscape, likely to gain attention from both local and national political circles.

Observers say the proposed motorway closure indicates PTI’s plan to intensify pressure at a critical time. They believe the rally aims to keep Imran Khan’s situation in the public eye. Analysts add that how the administration responds will shape the impact of this protest on upcoming political events.
