LAHORE (Web Desk): Pakistan and Indonesia signed wide-ranging agreements to enhance cooperation in trade, health, education, defense, and other key sectors.

Pakistan and Indonesia signed several MoUs and agreements during a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.

Speaking at the joint press stakeout, PM Shehbaz pledged that ‘Pakistan will work closely with Indonesia to meet all goals set under the new agreements’.

Highlighting the current bilateral trade volume of 4.5 billion dollars, the prime minister said both sides discussed steps to balance trade, especially by boosting Pakistan’s exports of agricultural products and IT services.

He added that Pakistan will also send doctors, dentists, medical specialists, and other professionals to Indonesia to support its healthcare sector.

After the signing ceremony, President Subianto met the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir. According to ISPR, they discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security, and bilateral defence cooperation. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening military ties.
