Officials said the initiative aims to regularize the growing trend of fancy and customized numberplates. Only officially issued personalized registration marks will be considered legal, while self-made or unauthorized plates will face action.
The advertisement states that applicants must submit complete documents, including vehicle registration details and identification records. Applications that do not meet legal requirements or are submitted late will not be accepted.
Authorities emphasized that the process follows strict rules to ensure transparency and fairness. The system is designed to improve vehicle identification, strengthen law enforcement, and maintain accurate government records.
Traffic police have been directed to strictly monitor vehicles using illegal numberplates. Any plate not issued by the excise department may result in fines or seizure under traffic laws.
