Former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi undergoes emergency angioplasty after heart pain

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was rushed to hospital after he complained of heart pain, where doctors performed a successful angioplasty.

According to initial details, Abbasi was in Murree when he suddenly felt severe chest pain. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors found blockages in his heart arteries affecting blood flow.

A team of cardiac specialists acted swiftly and placed two stents to restore normal circulation. After the procedure, his condition was declared stable and satisfactory.

Hospital sources said Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been advised complete rest. Family members confirmed that he is now out of danger and recovering steadily.

PML-N leaders and party workers expressed good wishes and prayed for his speedy recovery. Party sources added that he is expected to resume political activities soon after full recovery.
